The groom’s Mehendi attire is often simple yet stylish. Traditionally, grooms in Chhattisgarh wear kurta-pajamas or dhoti-kurtas, which are comfortable and aligned with the region's cultural roots. These outfits are usually in soft, neutral tones, such as beige, white, or light pastels. For the bride, it’s all about vibrant, traditional jewellery. She often wears a Maangtikka that sits elegantly on her forehead, paired with a heavy necklace that showcases intricate designs – often featuring local motifs. Sometimes, a Nath (nose ring) adds that extra sparkle. The groom often wears a subtle necklace, usually of pearls or stones, adding a traditional yet understated charm. Some grooms also wear armbands called Bajuband.
