After all the customs and formalities, the newlywed couple can finally rejoice in their union at a wedding reception. The reception is a gathering filled with food, lively music and dancing, providing an opportunity for the couple to relax and introduce their partner to their extended family and friends. Typically held in venues such as banquet halls, restaurants, or hotel ballrooms, modern receptions may also take place in settings like gardens or beaches. From favourites like puran poli and vada pav to curry dishes, attendees are treated to a delightful culinary experience. Guests at the wedding can savour vegetarian dishes such as Ukdiche modak, Sabudana khichdi, Pav bhaji and masala bhat. These can be relished alongside pitla, bhakri, bharleli vangi and aluchi patal bhaji.
