Inspired by the famous Yakisugi technique of Japan, the charcoal black charred bowl is a perfect statement piece for any space. It is made of Canadian pine wood and has a wax finish. The wood grains you once saw can now be felt too. The uneven edges arise from the process of heating at a high temperature, where the weak portions of the wood fall off, and what remains is the charred wood. It can be used for decorative purposes, dry food items. It is extremely strong, moisture-free, rot resistant and fire-resistant.
