Chitvan Wazi, the mastermind behind Wazir. C launched the label with the objective of reviving the handwork of Kashmir and handmade pure Pashmina. Her brand specifically works with marginalised women artisans from the Kashmir valley, pays them reasonable wages, and offers them a safe working environment. Wazir C infuses the principles of typical Kashmiri crafting with modern design and offers exclusive designs that have roots in the textile legacy of Kashmir.

The Beginning…
Chitvan Wazi has consistently advocated for ethical and sustainable business practices. While pursuing graduation from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi, she was involved with various Women and Child Rights Organisations, sparking a passion for women's emancipation and restitution. Returning to her hometown of Jammu, she noticed women's poor economic and social conditions in the Kashmir valley. After working closely with women's organisations there, she conceived the idea of Wazir C, aiming to provide employment opportunities to impoverished women, including victims of terrorism, half-widows, and those suffering from domestic abuse.

Wazir C is not just a brand but a testament to the grandeur of Kashmiri culture. The brand has a dual purpose: preserve traditional Kashmiri craftsmanship and create unique silhouettes through ethical and sustainable practices in the picturesque Kashmiri valley. Each piece from the label is a labour of love, meticulously crafted to represent the thousands of years of knowledge and skills passed down from generation to generation.
