Karan Torani
Born in Delhi, he was always surrounded by an all-embracing culture, but his days spent in the city of Bhopal around his grandmother shaped his aesthetic. Remembering long afternoons around her house and watching her do the regular household chores wearing simple Chanderi sarees got him obsessed with the classic beauty of Indian handlooms. Countless little things about her made her the ultimate muse for Torani.

The Beginning…
Karan Torani, the creative genius behind the label, mapped out the entire nation to study traditional crafts to the very last detail. Having learned Madhubani from Bihar, Gujarat's Bandhej, and Chanderi from Kolkata, he launched his label in 2018.

Torani is a potpourri of nostalgic memories of fables that Karan Torani's grandmother told him while growing up. Ensembles from Torani exemplify the designer's love for vintage aesthetics, Indian looms and handcrafts. With various graceful styles crafted from handwoven, handmade and bespoke looms, the label offers a slew of styles steeped in tradition.
