Surbhi Gupta joined India’s leading designer Suneet Varma after completing her graduation. She worked with the designer for seven years and recognised her admiration for feminine silhouettes and delicate embroideries. She was driven to find her own translation of the same.

How did your career begin?
Surbhi launched her label in 2017 and chose block prints to define her signature. Surbhi says, “ I have been exploring different motifs, patterns, embroidery and dying techniques to match the aesthetic and language of the brand.”
A Brief introduction about your brand/label?
The label Surbhi Gupta believes in minimalism. Deriving inspiration from architecture and crafts across the globe, the motifs and artworks used are geometric and symmetric in nature. The amalgamation of Indian traditional craftsmanship of Block prints, tie-dye and hand embroideries, further moulding them into silhouettes that are simple and elegant, defines the language of the brand.
