Growing up around art, Kathak and gardening, Shruti’s childhood was no less than a design school. Today, she’s a young mother and loves to create that same environment for her little one - the kind she grew up in and was nurtured by.

The beginning…
After graduating from N.I.F.T. in 2012, Shruti ventured into the garment manufacturing Industry. Soon enough, she realized that it was not for her and decided to take a break to finish her education. Staying in Milan gave her a different perspective and introduced her to endless possibilities in fashion and design. Hence, she started her own Pret-Organic fashion label Origgo. It was all about Batik, hand embroidery and local crafts brought together with a contemporary outlook. The Saree Sneakers was born because of a lack of the product in the market and also her love for sneakers. Shruti initially made one to flaunt at a party and soon she started receiving orders for them.

The Saree Sneakers by Origgo makes Sneakers with an Indian twist. Beautiful handwork, zardozi, chikan and all the drama on the Sneakers make the brand very popular among wedding-goers and brides as well.
