Rahul Mishra commenced his fashion journey at Lakme Fashion Week in 2006, debuting his collection highlighting the cotton handlooms of Kerala. Rahul’s creative achievements have received international recognition, and his paintings have been exhibited at prestigious fashion weeks in London, Dubai and Australia. He also earned an ordinary spot on the reputable Paris Fashion Week calendar. In a milestone in 2013, Rahul gained the Indian phase of the International Woolmark Awards, following which he represented India and the Middle East at the International Woolmark Awards competition in Milan in 2014. Culminating in his prevailing the 2014 Woolmark Prize in the course of Milan Fashion Week. Rahul’s ingenious spirit became obvious in 2009 when he introduced a reversible collection that fused Kerala mundu with Banarasi material, a testament to his creative prowess and admiration for conventional arts and crafts.

Popular for its dedication to traditional Indian craftsmanship, Label Rahul Mishra is a worldwide recognised brand. The label is represented as a tool for empowerment and improvement, especially for India's local artisan communities, and is the first Indian label to be showcased during Paris Haute Couture Week. The label Rahul Mishra is widely associated with intricate hand embroidery and a layout style that supports long-term employment opportunities for more than a thousand artisans, with flagship stores and a strong national and international distribution network. Famous personalities in the field, such as fashion critic Suzy Menkes and the late Franca Sozzani, have complimented Rahul Mishra for his unique approach to styling.
