Kudi Pataka Designs is run by a sister duo (designer-lawyer) who came together to bring the brand to life. Kritee Chadha handles the designing part of the brand. Kritee was always sure of a career in design, but her sister, Shruti, came around after a short stint as an advocate. Clothing is something that has been very special to them since they were kids, so it was no surprise that they came together to make products that they not only love making but are also a big part of their clients’ special life events.

The beginning…
Post graduation, Kritee observed an acute lack of Indian/occasion wear that weren’t your run-off-the-mill designs without being extremely expensive. Fast forward to a year later, she found herself freelancing as a bridal wear designer for a few close friends and family. This is how the idea for the brand was born. Good tailoring, expert craftsmanship and a contemporary take on Indian wear in an affordable price bracket is what the designer was looking to deliver.

Kudi Pataka Designs is an expression of the modern Indian girl - fun, sexy as well as traditional. Contemporary styling mixed with an aesthetic sense from the designer’s cultural heritage is what forms the brand’s inspiration. Colours play an important part of their story and they love handcrafted embroideries
