Having grown up in the Indian Armed Forces, Dilnaz’s life has had the most amazing patriotic influences that played a huge role in shaping her as an adult. Seeing her mother dress up for Air Force parties in her chiffons & silks, seeing her parents live a life that wasn’t dependent on materialistic means and their high spirited personalities - these are some fond childhood memories that she claims to cherish.

The beginning…
Dilnaz began her career at 19 with a well renowned Indian designer and then 16 years later she went on to start her own label ‘DILNAZ’. Her design sensibility stems from all she has been influenced by life. Even though she grew up in the Northern region of India, her label was born in Bombay. “Being a Parsi by birth combined with the influences I gravitated towards has created a delightful mix of Persian, European & Indian cultures for me. I think that is the essence of the label.
