Archana Rao studied fashion design from National Institute of Fashion Technology, Delhi. She later pursued an AAS degree from the renowned fashion college of New York called Parsons School of Design. Archana Rao showcased her debut collection at the “Parsons Line Of Debut” at Lord and Taylor, New York.

She also worked with International brands like Kaufman Franco and TSE, which gave her an insight as to what and whom her designs would cater to. In the year 2011, she launched her label and exhibited her first official clothing range at the Lakme Fashion Week under the Gen Next category. Archana Rao opened her first flagship store in Hyderabad in 2015. The main motto of the label is inherently modern with an Indian sensibility.
